Stikine River Enhancement #1 - by The Amigos
Bill Dick, Phil Cayton, Woody Fout

Tongass Fjords by Holger Sandmann & Bill Womack (FSAddOn publisher) is required.
This scenery is best viewed with Lago's FSE and various EZ Scenery Libraries. See the separate readme for a list of some of the libraries used. Without the EZ Libraries, our sceneries will be quite dull or missing altogether.

This is a culmination of small waypoints on the Stikine River in British Columbia, Canada, a part of the Tongass Fjords Scenery By Holger Sandmann & Bill Womack. There is a whole lot to see along the Stikine and listed below are some highlights. You will find these as you fly upriver from Scud towards Telegraph Creek BC.

Starting from Scud there is a riverboat moored on the west side of the Airport, with a small main Street. There is a road leading to the airport. If you want to take a car from the airport into town to explore it, there is a bar if you need a pick me up. And if you have FSE there will be a Paddle wheeler parked at the dock with a bunch of rowdy tourists wandering the streets.

Down river there is a barge moored, waiting to take a load to Wrangell. If you travel up river , there is a few boats (Tugs) working the river, as well as canoes traveling toward "Kayak Chute", There is a small Island for these people to use as a stopover and there way to Kayak Chute. This is where the Kayaker's and Canoeists go to shoot the rapids (part of the scenery), While you are staying at the lodge at "Kayak Chute , you will notice a large waterfall off to the side, this is where a lot of the tourists go to have a shower and clean up after along day on the water (also part of this scenery).

As you continue up River you will come to a small waterfall on the right hand side of the river ,If you follow this small stream or river you will eventually see a lake this named Yehinko Lake) Doug has built a fly-in camp there with a 1700 ft. dirt runway or a dock for those with floats. It has a quiet serenity with great views of the surrounding mountains and the host is great!

When you leave there and fly back out to the Stikine River, turn north at the river heading toward Telegraph Creek. You will see a Bailey bridge crossing the river as you approach Glenora. To your left will be the Glenora Campgrounds, a favorite spot for canoeists and campers. There is a small dock south of the bridge that will accommodate a floatplane. To your right will be a small Indian reservation that caters mostly to visiting tourists.

As you continue north you will come to "Bad Rapids". This is one of the dangerous spots in the river (animated with FSE).

Further up river you will come to a small settlement with a paper mill, a restaurant, and a small shopping centre where you can re-supply. There is a small Lake behind the town (Alkiline Lake) it has a beach and float dock (it was there when I got there with an abandoned 4x4 parked there? part of Holgers scenery I believe??? I put a cabin at the dock and I intend adding a few items as an update for here.

There is even more if you look close enough.

Doug Linn has compiled a new Abacus EZ Landmark file of the area we are working in. These are very accurate as to position and altitude, We are trying to put places where they are in real life, although our imaginations run away with us, these are actual places, just the buildings and maybe a few other things are fictional. Thanks to Doug and his hard work putting these together.

Installation:
----------------

Thank you's are many!

To everyone on the Tongass Fjords team, that has made these sceneries possible we now have the use of all these wonderful objects they have created. Our sceneries look the way they do because of these .
Lens EZ scenery is one of the objects we use as well as Ron Silent, and Jay Langham's contribution to FS9.
All of these authors have both EZ scenery and Lago FSE objects that are, in our opinion, some of the best and we use these extensively.
There a many others who have given their time and effort making objects for us to use. Too many too mention, as the library grows every day! To all of these authors, we surely do appreciate these as well. I am sure they will recognize their additions in this scenery.
If we have left anyone out of the credits it is not by intention.

And then of course we have our own object creator! Glenn "Woody" Fout, who works with us. Anytime we come up with an Idea, he comes to the rescue, and this is much appreciated.

This package is freeware but may only be distributed unaltered and as its original file. No fees can be charged for anything in this package.

Thanks.
Hope you enjoy!
